yuma 2011!

It's that time of year again - when artists, art enthusiasts, crafters, educators and students converge on Yuma, Arizona for two and a half days of fun and frolic at the Yuma Symposium.  I highly recommend this event!  Every year I am inspired and renewed by the artist lectures and spontaneous conversations with new friends and old.  Here are a few presenters I'm looking forward to seeing this year...
Number one on the list is definitely Michael Dale Bernard.  I love his chunky 'gem' brooches.
I'm also intrigued by fiber artist Victoria May's ethereal  forms...
And, painter/printmaker Peter Foley.  I'm mesmerized by his visually poetic book, autochthonous alphabet...

The Yuma Symposium happens at the end of this month, February 24-26. Definitely check it out!
